Meyers Manx Celebrates 60 Years With Electric Buggy Launch At Goodwood Revival

Meyers Manx celebrated its 60th anniversary with a nostalgic yet innovative event at the Goodwood Revival on 6th September. Over 80 Meyers Manx dune buggies participated in a parade, driven by enthusiasts from around the globe. Despite light rain, the buggies' distinctive exhaust notes and cheerful drivers highlighted the enduring charm of these iconic vehicles.

Leading the parade was Phillip Sarofim, Chairman of Meyers Manx, who drove the Duke of Richmond and Gordon in a newly remastered Meyers Manx Resorter. This updated version, built on a 1966 Volkswagen Beetle chassis, features charming wicker seats and combines retro aesthetics with modern touches. It honours the brand's adventurous roots while looking towards a bright future.

The celebrations continued at the Earls Court Motor Show, where Meyers Manx unveiled its highly anticipated 2.0 Electric Prototype in Europe. This electric reimagining of the classic dune buggy promises to deliver the same thrilling driving experience while embracing sustainability. The vehicle's blend of heritage and forward-thinking design captivated both industry insiders and the public.

"Goodwood Revival is the perfect stage to honour 60 years of Meyers Manx while showcasing the future with our electric prototype," said Phillip Sarofim. "It’s a tribute to the legacy Bruce Meyers started and a look forward to how we’re keeping the Manx spirit alive in the electric age."

Meyers Manx's participation in Goodwood Revival serves as both an homage to its storied past and an unveiling of its future. As it celebrates six decades of innovation, freedom, and open-air driving joy, new creations like the Meyers Manx 2.0 ensure this legendary name will continue to inspire adventurers for generations.

The brand's history dates back to 1964 when Bruce Meyers founded it. Known for creating the original fiberglass dune buggy, Meyers Manx has become synonymous with freedom, adventure, and off-road performance. Today, it continues to evolve by merging its rich heritage with cutting-edge technology.
