Maserati Debuts GranCabrio Folgore Tignanello At Prestigious Chantilly Event
Maserati made its debut at the Chantilly Arts & Elegance Richard Mille event from 12 to 15 September 2024. This prestigious French gathering, held at the Domaine du Château de Chantilly, showcases the best in automotive and haute couture since 2014. The highlight for Maserati was the GranCabrio Folgore Tignanello, a bespoke creation from their Fuoriserie customisation programme.
The GranCabrio Folgore Tignanello is Maserati's first fully electric luxury cabriolet. It draws inspiration from the rich history and robust character of Italian wines produced by Marchesi Antinori, one of Italy's oldest winemaking families. This unique model was crafted to celebrate the 50th anniversary of Tignanello and was first unveiled at Festival Napa Valley in California before making its European appearance at Chantilly.
This special edition car reflects advanced craftsmanship and luxury, hallmarks of Maserati's vehicles. The collaboration with Marchesi Antinori underscores a shared passion for tradition and innovation. Giovanni Perosino, Maserati's Chief Marketing & Communication Officer, stated, "Maserati GranCabrio Folgore Tignanello’s presence at Chantilly Arts & Elegance Richard Mille is a big moment for us to celebrate the prestigious collaboration with Marchesi Antinori once again after the debut of this wonderful creation in the United States."
During the event, Maserati hosted guests at Terrazza Italiana by Giorgetti, a historic design company known for its artisan carpentry since 1898. The space featured Giorgetti's outdoor collection, enhancing the display of classic and modern cars from renowned luxury brands. Attendees had the opportunity to admire these vehicles while enjoying a sophisticated setting.
Journalists and select guests participated in test drives of Maserati's latest models, including the GranTurismo and GranCabrio Trofeo and Folgore, MC20 Cielo, and Grecale Folgore. Additionally, they enjoyed a special wine tasting session led by experts from Marchesi Antinori. This blend of automotive excellence and fine wine highlighted the event's luxurious atmosphere.
The Concours d'Etat was a major highlight, featuring 100 extraordinary cars and attracting top collectors worldwide. Classic Maseratis owned by private collectors were also showcased, including models like the A6G54 by Frua and Zagato, 5000GT, Quattroporte, and another 5000GT from the Kidston Collection.
Maserati's Commitment to Innovation
Maserati continues to produce unique cars known for their distinctive personality. Their lineup includes models like the Grecale SUV, GranTurismo grand tourer, and GranCabrio convertible. These vehicles are available with hybrid powertrains or V6 petrol engines and embody Maserati's performance DNA.
The MC20 super sports car and MC20 Cielo spyder feature the innovative Nettuno V6 engine with F1-derived technology. The GranTurismo offers both high-performance V6 petrol engines and a fully electric version called GranTurismo Folgore.
