2018 Volkswagen Arteon Teased Ahead Of Geneva Motor Show Debut — Should BMW Be Worried?
The 2018 Volkswagen Arteon has been teased ahead of its official debut at the 2017 Geneva Motor Show. The car will be based on the company's MQB platform.
German auto major Volkswagen teased the tightly cropped front and rear views of the upcoming Volkswagen Arteon five-door coupe ahead of its debut at the 2017 Geneva Motor Show.

The front fascia of the 2018 Arteon features twin-headlight setup, and grille bars that blend into the LED driving lights. Previously, Volkswagen has revealed a sketch which makes it clear that the Arteon will be a production-ready version of the 2015 Sport Coupe GTE Concept.

The 2018 Arteon is based on the MQB platform. With a transverse-engine setup, the car will be offered in front-wheel and all-wheel-drive variants.

The Arteon is closely related to the current Passat range and is expected to feature a selection of drivetrain offerings shared with the Passat, including the car's 2-litre turbocharged four-cylinder engine producing 276bhp.

With its sportier design and premium looks, the 2018 Arteon will be the German carmaker's flagship model in several global markets replacing the Volkswagen Passat CC.

If the 2018 Arteon stays close to its concept design, it will be noticeably longer, and slightly wider and lower than the Passat sold outside of North America and China.
India's leading car manufacturer Maruti Suzuki will be launching the 2017 Swift in the Indian market by late-2017. Check out the extensive photos of the new hatchback by clicking the gallery below.
