Skoda India To Hike Prices In 2018 — Book Your Car Now Or Pay More
Skoda has announced a price hike across its entire Indian range which will come into effect on January 1, 2018.
Skoda India has announced that it will increase prices across its range of cars in the country by 2–3 percent. Skoda's price hike will into effect on January 1, 2018 in India.
Skoda has stated that "changing market conditions and various external economic factors" are the reason for an increase in prices for its range of four cars in India. Skoda currently sells three sedans - Rapid, Octavia and Superb - along with the Kodiaq SUV.
Skoda launched three new cars in India in 2017. The first was the facelifted Octavia (read our review here) which arrived in India in July.
Skoda then launched the Octavia RS in September, which saw the return of Skoda's go-faster vRS division to India. With 227bhp and 350Nm of torque on tap, the Octavia RS is the fastest Skoda to ever come to India.
A month later in October, Skoda's first-ever seven-seater SUV - the range-topping Kodiaq (read our review here)- put its wheels on Indian roads. The large SUV is named after a species of brown bear found in Alaska. The Skoda Kodiaq is the Czech brand's most expensive car currently on sale in India at Rs 34.49 lakh ex-showroom (India).
Skoda also launched a few special edition versions of its entry-level Rapid sedan in the form of the Monte Carlo and the Edition X. Prices for the Rapid start at Rs 8.20 lakh ex-showroom (India).
