Henrik Fisker Sues Aston Martin For $100 Million
Henrik Fisker is suing Aston Martin and three of its executives for $100 Million in damages over a threatening letter they sent him concerning his upcoming car called the Force 1. Fisker was the Chief Designer for the Aston Martin DB9 and the V8 Vantage.
The civil extortion lawsuit filed on Monday, January 3, 2015, claims Aston Martin sent Fisker a 'threatening' letter in late December 2015 telling him not to launch the Force 1 at the North American International Auto Show In Detroit in January 2016.
Aston Martin claimed that they would "not hesitate to protect its valuable rights," as the Force 1 apparently was very similar to the Aston Martin DB10 that was made for the James Bond Film, Spectre.
Speaking about the lawsuit, Fisker stated "This is a classic case of David vs. Goliath. Aston Martin is trying to intimidate me to prop up their own flailing company and to mask their financial and product deficiencies. I refuse to be intimidated and that is the reason for today's filing."
