Valentino Rossi Secures Pole Position In 2015 Assen GP
Valentino Rossi has been leading the 2015 MotoGP Championship, he enters the Dutch GP with a single point separating him and Jorge Lorenzo.
The Italian has so far not been able to qualify well and has struggled with setting a quick lap time. However, he comes back strong in the race and has had podium finishes in all of the races this year.
Rossi, nine-time World Champion, knows what it takes to win Championships. He is the oldest rider on track and the fastest this season.
Bagging the pole position at the Assen GP, Rossi has realised the importance of starting the race in top position, which is vital for him to maintain the lead in the championship. ‘The Doctor' has finally found his mark and was faster than ever.
Marc Marquez was not far away from Rossi's time, however, he pointed out that he is losing precious tenths. It does not seem like the Spaniard is finding his rhythm with new updates.
Biggest loser at Assen GP was Jorge Lorenzo, who was only eight fastest. Alex Espargaro and Suzuki proved their last pole was no fluke and they were second fastest for Dutch GP.
Ducati riders did not find the Dutch track suiting their motorcycles. Best rider for the Italian outfit was Andrea Iannone, who starts in sixth position, while teammate Dovizioso qualified tenth fastest.
You can watch the Assen Grand Prix on 27th of June, 2015 at 17:30 IST. Do let us know who you think will win the Dutch GP, will it be be a Yamaha or Honda? Or can Ducati pull a blinder! We will wait and watch.
