F1: Force India Denies Rumours Of Financial Trouble
Force India Formula One Team has denied rumours about the team being at the brink of financial collapse, after the team did not show up for this season's practice at Jerez.
There have been rumours that the teams owners, Vijay Mallya and Subrata Roy are suffering personal trouble as well as Formula One related trouble like falling behind on payments that have to be made for the supply of carbon fibre.
Otmar Szafnauer, the Chief Operating Officer (COO) insists that the delay for Force India is because of the move the team has made from its own wind tunnel to Toyota's wind tunnel.
He is 90 percent sure that Force India's Formula One car, the VJM08 will be ready for the second tests that will begin on the 19th of February.
Team Force India has saved 500,000 pounds by not testing the car at Jerez.
The COO made his mark clear to reporters spreading the rumour that the Team is very much alive and the team had presented new sponsors. Force India would not have done that if it was on the verge of getting doomed.
