2015 Belgian GP Hamilton Claims Victory & Lotus Secure First Podium
2015 Belgian GP was a mixed experience for everyone taking part as well as for the fans and followers. There was plenty of overtaking and drama that took place at Spa-Francorchamps GP.
Lewis Hamilton, Daniel Ricciardo and Sergio Perez had phenomenal starts. Rosberg and the other hand was overwhelmed down the first corner, dropping from second to fifth.
Hamilton started the race from pole position and ended the race with ease. Teammate and closest Championship rival Rosberg somehow managed to power his Mercedes through the traffic for second place.
A rejuvenated Lotus team looked promising during the entire Belgian GP weekend. Romain Grosjean secured third place and has ended podium droughts for his team, last podium was achieved in 2013.
Scuderia Ferrari had a disappointing race with Sebastian Vettel suffering a puncture with two laps to go. The German multiple F1 Champion was definite for a podium finish prior to this unfortunate incident.
McLaren Honda brought new parts and engine to Belgian GP, they promised that this would make them more competitive. It was the other way round, Alonso and Button finished down in 13th and 14th place, while their car looked considerably slower than its competitors.
