Toyota India Issue Recall Of Camry With Front Suspension Issue
Japanese automobile manufacturer Toyota has recently launched refreshed versions of their Etios and Etios Liva in India. They had also launched previously their Etios Cross. They plan to introduce several new and interesting products soon.
Toyota today is in the news, as they will be recalling several of their Camry vehicles sold globally. The models affected are in Europe, United States and India. There is an issue with the front suspension of this sedan.
As part of their global recall programme Toyota Motor Corp. will be recalling over 1.7 lakh Camry units. Most of these models were made in Japan and were exported to countries that demanded them. There is a defect in the front suspension that will need replacing.
In India 119 Camry vehicles, which were imported from Japan are in question. These sedan were manufactured during March and July of 2011. Toyota claims there a possible defect in Camry produced during these years with a faulty front suspension unit.
So far, Toyota claim there have been no registered complaints in India regarding the issue. The Japanese manufacturer is ordering a recall as an initiative of their Voluntary Recall code. They will be contacting vehicle owners personally and the issue will be rectified free of cost.
Toyota India had recently recalled its Innova in India for a faulty cable in the steering wheel. That recall accounted for roughly 44,989 MPV by the Japanese manufacturer. There have been several manufacturers this year that have issued global recalls due to various reasons.
