You Can Save Up To Rs 57,500 By Choosing This Variant Of Ola Electric Scooter
Recently, the government of India slashed the FAME 2 subsidies, resulting in steep price hike of electric two-wheelers in the country.
However, Ola Electric cleverly overcame this issue with the launch of its Ola S1 X range of electric scooters. Thanks to this new range of electric scooters, the starting price remained a very competitive Rs 89,999 (Ola S1 X 2kWh), ex-showroom.

Now, the Ola S1 X range of electric scooters has started reaching Ola Experience Centres across the country. As such, more customers can have a feel of this new range of Ola electric scooters before proceeding with the purchase.
Speaking about the Ola S1 X, potential buyers can save up to Rs 57,500 by opting for the base Ola S1 X electric scooter with the 2kWh battery pack instead of the range-topping Ola S1 Pro Gen 2 electric scooter which is priced at Rs 1,47,499 (ex-showroom).

That being said, the Ola S1 X features the same hardware as the Ola S1 Air electric scooter. This includes the battery pack and electric motor set-up. As such, the new Ola S1 X range of electric scooters features a 6kW hub-mounted electric motor and a 34-litre boot.
In terms of performance, Ola Electric claims that the new Ola S1 X range of electric scooters can reach 40km/h in just 3.3 seconds and reach a topspeed of 90km/h. Also, Ola Electric claims 91km range for the 2kWh model and 151km range for the 3kWh model.
In terms of design, the new Ola S1 X range of electric scooters sports a very funky dual-tone colour combination, and the model features a more exposed type handlebar setup. Other than that, the model does not seem to be very different compared to the Ola S1 Air.
In order to reach the aggressive price tag, the Ola S1 X does get some downgraded features including a 3.5-inch segmented display, physical key unlock, and lack of smartphone connectivity.
Thoughts About The Ola S1 X Range Of Electric Scooters
The Ola S1 X range of electric scooters is ideal for anyone looking for a simple electric scooter and do not mind the lack of connected tech and fancy screens. Also, the base variant is ideal for people with very short commute on daily basis.
