Bajaj Pulsar N150 Vs TVS Apache RTR 160 – Quick Comparison
Bajaj Auto recently launched the new Bajaj Pulsar N150 motorcycle in India to capitalise on the sales push achieved during the festive season. This latest Pulsar motorcycle sits just above the Bajaj Pulsar P150 motorcycle in the Pulsar range.
That being said, the new Bajaj Pulsar N150 motorcycle can be considered a competitor to the TVS Apache RTR 160 motorcycle, which apparently sits below the sportier TVS Apache RTR 160 4V motorcycle. As such, here's a quick comparison between both these motorcycles.

Design
In terms of design, the newly launched Bajaj Pulsar N150 motorcycle looks very modern and almost identical to the sportier Bajaj Pulsar N160 motorcycle. As a result, the Pulsar N150 looks far more contemporary than the ageing TVS Apache RTR 160.
Powertrain
Powering the new Bajaj Pulsar N150 motorcycle is the same 149.68cc, single-cylinder, air-cooled engine as the Bajaj Pulsar P150 motorcycle. This engine produces 14.3bhp at 8,500rpm and 13.5Nm of peak torque at 6,000rpm. Also, this motorcycle comes with a 5-speed gearbox.
On the other hand, the TVS Apache RTR 160 motorcycle sports a bigger 159.7cc, single-cylinder, air-cooled engine. This engine produces a healthier 15.8bhp at 8,750rpm and 13.85Nm of peak torque at 6,500rpm. The motorcycle also sports a 5-speed gearbox.
Hardware
The newly launched Bajaj N150 motorcycle comes with a 31mm telescopic suspension at the front and a monoshock unit at the rear. Moreover, braking duties are handled by a 260mm disc brake at the front and a 130mm drum brake at the rear.
On the other hand, both variants (Single Disc and Double Disc) of the TVS Apache RTR 160 motorcycle come with telescopic suspension at the front and twin gas-charged shocks at the rear.
In terms of braking the base model of the Apache RTR 160 motorcycle comes with a 270mm petal disc brake at the front and a 130mm drum brake at the rear. Whereas, the higher-spec variants come with a 200mm petal disc brake.
Price
The newer Bajaj Pulsar N150 motorcycle only costs a few hundred rupees more than the older Bajaj Pulsar P150 at Rs 1.18 lakh (ex-showroom). Meanwhile, the single-disc variant of the TVS Apache RTR 160 motorcycle is priced at Rs 1.19 lakh (ex-showroom).

The newly launched Bajaj Pulsar N150 motorcycle offers a decent blend of practicality and sporty looks, whereas the older TVS Apache RTR 160 comes with a more powerful engine and some additional features such as ride modes and Bluetooth connectivity.
