Bajaj Pulsar N150 Vs Pulsar P150 – Same But Different

To capitalise on the sales push during the festive season, Bajaj Auto launched the new Bajaj Pulsar N150 motorcycle in India. This latest Pulsar motorcycle sits just above the Bajaj Pulsar P150 motorcycle.

That being said, Bajaj currently offers the widest range of 150cc motorcycles in India. Since, the Bajaj Pulsar N150 and the P150 fall under the same segment, here's a quick comparison between both these motorcycles.

Design

In terms of design, the newly launched Bajaj Pulsar N150 motorcycle looks almost identical to the sportier Bajaj Pulsar N160 motorcycle. As a result, the Pulsar N150 looks a lot more sportier and more youthful compared to the Pulsar P150 motorcycle.

In comparison, the Bajaj Pulsar P150 looks very sleek and almost commuter-ish. Though this design lends the Pulsar P150 with more mature looks, it is not as attractive as the newer Bajaj Pulsar N150 motorcycle.

Powertrain

Powering the new Bajaj Pulsar N150 is the same 149.68cc, single-cylinder, air-cooled engine as the Bajaj Pulsar P150 motorcycle. This engine in both motorcycles produces an identical 14.3bhp at 8,500rpm and 13.5Nm of peak torque at 6,000rpm. Also, both these motorcycles sport the same 5-speed gearbox.

Hardware

The newly launched Bajaj N150 motorcycle comes with a 31mm telescopic suspension at the front and a monoshock unit at the rear. Moreover, braking duties are handled by a 260mm disc brake at the front and a 130mm drum brake at the rear.

On the other hand, both variants (Single Disc and Double Disc) of the Bajaj Pulsar P150 motorcycle come with an identical suspension and braking setup to the Pulsar N150 motorcycle. However, the dual-disc variant of the Pulsar P150 motorcycle comes with a 230mm disc at the rear.

Price

The newer Bajaj Pulsar N150 motorcycle only costs a few hundred rupees more than the older Bajaj Pulsar P150 at Rs 1.18 lakh (ex-showroom). Meanwhile, the single-disc variant of the Pulsar P150 motorcycle costs Rs 1.17 lakh (ex-showroom), and the dual-disc variant costs Rs 1.19 lakh (ex-showroom).

Thoughts About The Bajaj Pulsar N150 & P150 Motorcycles

The newly launched Bajaj Pulsar N150 motorcycle offers a decent blend of practicality and sporty looks to its customers. That being said, the Pulsar P150 is likely to appeal well to the more mature audience.
