Does The New Bajaj Dominar’s Spy Pic Make The KTM 390 Duke Look A Bit Boring?

New Bajaj Dominar: Spy pics of Bajaj Dominar 2019 out again. Launch to happen by this month-end. Check out the latest Dominar 2019 pics.

Spy pics of the new Bajaj Dominar (2019) have been doing rounds on the internet for quite a few weeks now. Bajaj Auto seems to be conducting extensive testing measures of the updated Dominar 400 across the country.

Now, RushLane has shared the latest spy image of the 2019 Bajaj Dominar, showing its side profile up close and clear. Looking at the image, do you feel that the new Dominar is slightly better-looking than its Austrian cousin, the KTM 390 Duke?

Of course, the two motorcycles differ in design due to their respective purposes. The Bajaj Dominar 400 is regarded as a sports cruiser while the KTM 390 Duke is a naked streetfighter. Whatever be the case, the 2019 Bajaj Dominar brings a fresh aesthetic update to the current model.

We had previously shared a video of the new Dominar (which was also in a similar camouflaged format), showing all the cosmetic and mechanical changes; plus its exhaust note — watch the video here.

The changes mainly include a new exhaust design which complies with BS-VI emission norms, an updated instrument console plus secondary display, USD forks, etc. The front disc brake is placed on the left side, unlike the outgoing model.

Unofficial bookings for the new Bajaj Dominar have already started at certain dealerships in India, since there are strong claims that the motorcycle will launch in January 2019 itself. However, Bajaj Auto has still not commented anything on this.

The brand even introduced a cost-free update to the existing model in the form of a Vibration Reduction Kit. The kit does its duty well as the name suggests — know everything about Bajaj Dominar's vibration kit here. The kit is applicable only to the outgoing model as the new model will be 'relatively vibration-free'.

The 2019 Bajaj Dominar 400 is powered by the existing 373cc liquid-cooled single-cylinder engine. In the present format, the engine makes 34bhp and 35Nm of torque. The power plant is mated to a six-speed transmission via a slipper clutch.

The output could be slightly different in the new model. Meanwhile, prices for the 2019 Dominar could be higher by around Rs 20,000. This brings the expected ex-showroom price to almost Rs 1.85 lakh.

Thoughts On The New Bajaj Dominar (2019)

If rumours are to be believed, the 2019 Bajaj Dominar will be officially unveiled in just over a week's time. The new model brings some much-needed updates to retain its title as the best 'made-in-India' sports motorcycle. What do you think of the new Dominar? Let us know in the comment section below.
