Aprilia Launches Its Most Affordable Two-Wheeler In India — The SR 150
The Italian two-wheeler manufacturer, Aprilia has finally launched the SR 150 scooter in India, for an introductory price of Rs. 65,000 ex-showroom (Pune). The SR 150 was unveiled by World Superstock Champion, Lorenzo Savadori
The SR 150 was first showcased during the Auto Expo and it created quite a buzz when the Italian company said it would be launched in India this year.

Bookings for the Aprilia SR 150 opened almost a month ago through the Motoplex outlets or through Vespa dealerships. Dealers accepted Rs. 5,000 as the booking amount for the scooter. The Aprilia SR 150 can be booked through Paytm as well, and deliveries will start soon.
Aprilia SR 150 Engine Specifications
Powering the Aprilia SR 150 is a 154.4cc, single-cylinder four-stroke engine that produces 11.4bhp and 11.5Nm of peak torque. The engine is the same unit that powers the Vespa 150, and it comes mated to a CVT gearbox.
Aprilia claims that the SR 150 can reach a top speed of 95km/h, but when reviewing the scooter, we did manage to hit a top speed of 120km/h. The Italian two-wheeler maker also claims that the scooter returns a mileage of 45km/l.
Features On The Aprilia SR 150
The Aprilia SR 150 features telescopic front forks, monoshock at the rear, 14-inch tyres at both ends with 120/70 section Vee Rubber tyres. Braking duties are taken care by a 220mm disc brake up front and a 140mm drum brake at the rear.
In terms of instrumentation, the SR 150 gets dual pod instrument cluster, and a headlight pass switch, which is usually not seen on a scooter. The Aprilia SR 150 is available in two colours: Matte Black and White.
Competitors For The Aprilia SR 150
There are currently no competitors for the Aprilia SR 150 in the Indian market, apart from the Vespa, which is again, both brands (Aprilia and Vespa) are owned by Piaggio.
