KTM 390 Duke Black Colour Scheme Now Available

By Ganesh

KTM 390 Duke, launched in India in June of this year, has been available only in one colour scheme - White and Orange. Its smaller sibling, the 200 Duke on the other hand comes in three colour options. Looking at the KTM website it looks like Europeans will now get the 390 Duke in a second, Black and Orange colour scheme.

The new Black and Orange 390 Duke is not yet available for order in India. However, considering Bajaj manufactures the Duke lineup for the domestic and international markets the new colour option is likely to be made available in India soon. Perhaps from 2014 onwards.

KTM 390 Duke is powered by a 373cc engine that generates 43.5 PS of power and 35 Nm of torque. The bike can accelerate from a standstill to 100 km/h in about 5 seconds and has a top speed of over 160 km/h. Priced at a little over INR 2 lakhs on road in most states, the bike offers ABS as standard.

2014 will also see KTM launch the fully faired RC200 and RC390 in India. The new bikes made their debut at the EICMA this month. KTM will showcase the new bikes at the 2014 Auto Expo, which will take place in Feb, followed by a launch soon.

The RC390 will be KTM's new flagship upon its launch and should sell for about Rs 30,000 more than the 390 Duke. Same should hold true for the RC200.
