Kawasaki Z1000 In India For A Price Of INR 12.5 Lakhs
Kawasaki has at last taken the covers off of its Z1000 naked street sports bike for India. Launched today at an event in Pune, the Z1000 brings with it plenty of attitude and aggression in a new and improved package that's ready to take on the best motorcycles in its segment from around the world.

The 2014 Kawasaki Z1000 was revealed at the EICMA show in Milan earlier this year and is mostly unchanged visually over the previous generation, except for the headlamp units, which feature a new design along with LED lamps.

The bike is powered by a 1043cc liquid cooled engine, dual overhead cam, 16 valve, inline four cylinder engine with digital fuel injection. The engine is capable of generating 142 PS of power at 1000 rpm and 111 Nm of torque at 7300 rpm.
Kawasaki Z1000 will be imported as a completely built unit from Japan and will be sold through dedicated dealerships, one of which exists in Pune and a second one will soon come up in New Delhi. The Japanese company plans to expand its presence in India by opening two showrooms each year, the reason for which is to maintain a well trained workforce.
The motorcycle will be available in a single colour - the grey and green colour scheme seen in these images. Booking for the Z1000 were started earlier this month, with deliveries starting from January 2014. Kawasaki Z1000 is priced at INR 12.5 lakhs (Ex-showroom, Pune).
The two new Kawasaki sports bike will be joined by a third model in January 2014, which we speculate will be the Z800. Five more models have been planned for launch, but a time frame for the same has not been made available.
