Kawasaki Z1000 India Arrival Eminent; Bookings Begin
At EICMA 2013 Kawasaki launched the 2014 Z1000 Naked sports bike, one of the most advanced street bike from a Japanese manufacturer ever. Bearing an extremely aggressive design the all new Kawasaki Z1000 credits its looks to Japanese Sugomi design philosophy that "describes the intense aura or energy given off by a person or object of greatness and felt by the viewer."

Philosophy aside, the Z1000 is an extremely potent motorcycle which now comes loaded with technology and not to mention, the first LED headlights on a production Japanese motorcycle. Its also arguably the most intense part of the bike's design.

The good news is Indians will soon be able to savour the performance of this beautiful machine as Kawasaki plans on launching the bike here soon.
According to reports, the 2014 Kawasaki Z1000 will be put up on display in showrooms by December, with a launch scheduled for 25th of that month. Dealers have supposedly even started accepting bookings for the bike.

Kawasaki only recently launched its flagship sports bike ZX10R and sports tourer ZX14R in India. The addition of the new Z1000 will complete Kawasaki's liter class lineup.

Kawasaki Z1000 is powered by a 1043cc four cylinder engine rated at 140 PS and 110 Nm torque. Several improvements have been made to increase air intake and reduce engine friction which boost the bike's performance over its predecessor. Brakes and suspensions have also been upgraded, along with the inclusion of ABS as standard equipment.
2014 Kawasaki Z1000 will be priced around the INR 21-13 lakhs range (ex-showroom). The bike will compete with the other liter class Japanese naked sportbikes, Yamaha FZ1 and Honda CB1000R.
