Bajaj Pulsar 200 Faired Sports Bike Spotted
The following scoop image of a fully faired Bajaj Pulsar has taken everyone by surprise. Yes, a fully faired sports bike model of the Pulsar was expected, but it was supposed to be based on the KTM Duke 390. Instead, the new bike is being reported as being powered by a 200cc engine.
The bike, spotted testing on a national highway, clearly reveals a full aerodynamic fairing, a sharp tail incorporating split seats, large sculpted fuel tank and sports bike style visor. Other visible features include rear monoshocks, exposed drive chain and single brake disc.
If it is indeed a 200cc engine powering this faired Pulsar it will be a retuned version of the Pulsar 200NS engine. One should not be surprised if the bike delivers power in the range of 25 HP, from an advanced liquid cooled engine.

Autocar also states that the bike will have six speed transmission with close gear ratio for an engaging, not to mention extremely quick riding experience.
Positioning of this bike within the Bajaj-KTM family will be another interesting aspect. Naturally, this will be at the top of the food chain among Pulsars, but we'll have to wait and how Bajaj manages to keep the new bike from eating into KTM 200 Duke's sales. As far as rivals are concerned the new Pulsar will take the war to Honda CBR150R and Yamaha R15.
The new Bajaj Pulsar 200 (fully faired) is expected to break cover in just a few weeks time.
