Piaggio Offers Extended Warranty For Vespa

The Vespa LX 125 is the most powerful 125cc scooter in India. It is also one of the most striking scooter in terms of design thanks to its vintage looks. Although the power and looks are interesting enough to attract buyers, the heft price tag of over INR 75,000 has prevented people from making a beeline at showrooms.

The Vespa LX 125 has been called a premium scooter more because of its lineage rather than features. Most of its features are available in all mainstream scooters and buyers are paying a premium amount only to buy a classic looking scooter. And yes, if you want to have a powerful scooter the Vespa is the best available.

However with a price tag which is at least a third higher than a regular scooter, the Vespa LX 125 has not been able to deliver in terms of sales. Piaggio is looking at offering extended warranty to the Vespa at a bargain.

Piaggio is offering the Vespa with a warranty of 2 years or 24,000kms. According to the new extended warranty scheme buyers can pay Rs. 400/- for an additional warranty of one year or 12,000kms. Pay a little extra, i.e Rs. 550/- and your warranty is extended to 2 years and 24,000kms.

The above prices for the extended warranty is available for new buyers of the Vespa LX 125. Existing Vespa owners can also avail the extended warranty by paying Rs. 480/- and Rs. 625/- for the one year and two year plans respectively.
