Yamaha Records 6% Sales Increase In April

Overall sales stood at 36,581 units versus 34,476 units in April, 2011 resulting to a growth of 6%. The sales rise can be accounted to the success of Yamaha's premium and deluxe segments.
Yamaha India CEO & MD Hiroyuki Suzuki said: “We see a lot of potential in the Indian motorcycle market and are continuously making efforts to give the best to our customers. We had entered the financial year on a high note and hope to sustain it throughout the year. Our models - YZF-R15 Version 2.0, FZ series and SZ series are doing very well in their respective segments and are playing an instrumental role in driving the sales for our company.”
He added, “Very recently, we also introduced new variants of the FZ series in order to add freshness to the product and kept in line with our promise to give new to our customers. We are confident that these variants too will be an instant hit among the biking enthusiasts.”
