Hero MotoCorp Marks 7% Sales Growth In April

Hero-Impulse
India's largest two-wheeler manufacturer, Hero Motocorp recorded a sales growth of 7% in the month of April. The company sold 5,51,557 units against 2011 April sales figure of 5,17,099 units.

Significantly, Hero Motocorp April sales figure also surpassed its previous highest monthly sales of 5,49,625 units in September 2011. The company has been maintaining steady growth through out 2012 amid doubts since the company ended its partnership with Japan's Honda Motors.

Hero MotoCorp Senior Vice-President (Marketing and Sales) Anil Dua said: "It is indeed heartening to begin the new financial year with our best-ever monthly sales. We have made a good beginning with this strong performance and are pleased with the continuing trend of over half a million unit sales every month for the past nine months."

The Splendor and the Passion bikes have been selling well for the company helping it maintain the first position in the market. The dual purpose (on-off road) bike Impulse is the latest arrival from Hero Motocorp.
