Video: Airbags—What 1/100th Of A Second Means
Airbags have become a very essential part of automobile safety in the modern world. They have been proved to be lifesavers during accidents.
They have sensors and will deploy in an instant.
So has anyone ever wondered what happens if there are no airbags in the car? Well, many would know this after watching numerous safety ads and campaigns that come on television.
Now, has anybody wondered what would happen if the airbag deployment was delayed by just 1/100th of a second?
This cannot be explained better than a steering wheel, a melon and of course Honda's creativity.
The video shows how a melon is saved when the airbag is deployed at the right moment and what happens to the melon when the airbag deployment is delayed by just 1/1000th of a second. The result is nothing short of astonishing!
So remember, airbags will offer that extra bit of protection only when you are buckled up. So always wear your seat belt.
