For the uninitiated, the AMG GT is the replacement model for the SLS AMG. Unlike the SLS though, the AMG GT will be less expensive and less powerful (all relative terms) and has been developed almost specifically to rival the Porsche 911.
Also, smaller than the SLS AMG, the new AMG GT will have regular doors in place of gull wings.

The engine will be a twin-turbo 4.0-litre V8 engine, but car will be available in several versions. The car will also come with rear wheel drive configuration, equipped with a 7-speed dual clutch transmission.

The primary focus will be driving pleasure and sportiness than outright performance and its smaller size will help towards these.
Global unveiling will likely be held in October at the 2014 Paris Motor Show. Read our previous stories to learn more about the 2016 Mercedes AMG GT.
