Mahindra Posts All Time Monthly Sales Record
Mahindra, the leading Indian utility vehicle manufacturer has had a good September. Mahindra's September sales report states that the company has sold 48,342 units as compared to the 44,137 units it sold in September 2011.
Mahindra has stated that its September 2012 sales was its best monthly sales and had created an all new record. Mahindra's passenger vehicle sales stood at 23,808 units marking a 225 increase. Mahindra has also noted that the sales increase in September 2012 is significant considering the fact that the festive season is yet to start this September.
Mahindra's commercial vehicle sales saw a 7% increase in September. The company has stated that it had exported 3,079 vehicles in the month and added overall exports for the financial year starting April 2012 had increased by 40%.
Pravin Shah,Chief Executive, Automotive Division, Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd. said: "We are happy with the performance and growth that we have achieved during September 2012 over the festive season month of September 2011. Post reduction in CRR, banks have started cutting lending rates and are also looking at reducing vehicle loan rates. We are hopeful of a good performance in the upcoming festive season".
Mahindra has already kick started the activities for this year's festive season by launching the Quanto mini SUV. It is also celebrating the first anniversary of the launch of its best selling premium SUV XUV 500. Mahindra is also expected to launch the Verito hatchback in a few months.
