Nissan Sales Buoyed By Micra Small Car
The Nissan Micra continues to impress Indian consumers. The small car which had seen sales of 928 units in July was responsible for the bulk of Nissan;'s sales with 1,550 sales. The Micra is the only car currently being built by Nissan in its plant in Chennai. The Teana sedan and the X-Trail are imported as completely built units (CBU).
Nissan has already sold about 18,000 Micras in India. More than 85,000 Micras have been exported by Nissan Motors India to more than 100 countries. The carmaker has said it would continue to deliver more and more products that suit the Indian market.
