Toyota's First Small Car For India - Etios Liva

Toyota has always been considered as a niche carmaker in India. The Japanese carmaker was selling its premium sedans, MUVs and SUVs. With an intention to make a mark in the volume selling small car sector in India, Toyota launched the new Etios sedan. This was followed by the Etios Liva hatchback. The new model that has been developed exclusively for India has been accepted by the Indian car buyer with open arms.

The Etios Liva has a starting price of Rs.3.99 lakhs. Available in four variants the Liva offers a slew of features and options which include a standard cooled 13 litre glove box, 2-DIN stereo with volume controls on steering, and new age safety features such as airbags, ABS and EBD. The Etios Liva is Toyota's first real small car.

The Etios Liva has done to Toyota what the Chevrolet Beat diesel did to General Motors. The Japanese carmaker has announced it was increasing production and would soon open a new production plant.
