Tata Indigo Compact Sedan: Value For Money

Tata Indigo
Another compact sedan that has its roots is the Tata Indigo. The Tata Indica was developed indigenously by Tata Motors and was offered as an inexpensive hatchback. The Indica became India's highest selling taxi within no time and has become synonymous with taxis in India. Tata Motors wanted to change the image of the Indica and developed the Indigo sedan.

The Tata Indigo is the cheapest sedan sold in India. It has a starting price of Rs.4.99 lakhs for the entry level GLS variant while the top end diesel variant, the LX Dicor has a starting price of Rs.6.23 lakhs. The Indigo is one compact sedan that surprises you with its interior space. It is more spacious than a regular sedan and yet you cannot make out the space from outside.

Tata has not improved the interior quality or the fit and finish even as it updates the model over the years. Tata has tried to maintain a difference in quality in comparison with the more classier Indigo Manza executive sedan. The fuel economy of the Indigo is about 15kmpl in the city and 20kmpl on the highway.

This compact sedan offers value for money as well as practicality.
