Swift DZire: Highest Selling Indian Sedan

The Swift DZire was an instant success from the day it was launched in 2007. The Swift hatchback had already done its magic with its sporty performance and buyers were keen to hop in to a sporty sedan. The DZire was not appreciated by design conscious people but it has won the hearts of its buyers with its space and practicality.

The Swift is not India's highest selling sedan by chance. It is available with both petrol and diesel engines and has an affordable starting price of Rs.5.40 lakhs for the entry level petrol variant. The comparatively inexpensive price tag does not mean the Swift DZire is not bereft of features.

The Swift DZire has an impressive equipment list coupled with a very reliable engine. This compact sedan retains its value in the after sales segment too. Another clincher for the Swift DZire is its hatch back like fuel economy of 18kmpl for the petrol and 21.7kmpl for the diesel variant.
