The Tata Tiago is a popular hatchback offering in the Indian market, bringing in consistent sales month-on-month. The Tata Tiago is offered with a single engine option, which has been updated to comply with the latest BS6 emission norms. This comes in the form of a 1.2-litre three-cylinder petrol engine. It produces 83bhp at 6000rpm and 113Nm of peak torque at 3300rpm. The engine comes mated to a standard five-speed manual, with the optional AMT automatic transmission on the higher variants.

The Tata Tiago comes with a fuel tank capacity of 35-litres and claims to offer an ARAI-certified fuel economy of around 23km/l. These are extremely impressive figures, allowing long distance driving without any effort.
