As the year comes to an end, we take a look back at the top 5 cars we reviewed in 2022 along with a few honourable mentions.
As the year comes to an end, we take a look back at the year that was 2022. We drove quite a few cars as we put in the work to ensure that you had all the details you needed when it was time to purchase a new car.
In this article, we'll take a look at the top 5 cars we reviewed in 2022 in no particular order along with a few honourable mentions as we bring down the curtains on this year.

Maruti Suzuki Baleno - A Big Upgrade
We drove the new Baleno back in March and were quite impressed by the upgrades that Maruti Suzuki had made to its premium hatchback offering. The new Baleno offers quite a bit of space for those inside and enough toys to keep you entertained on the go. The addition of the AMT gearbox also ensures that driving on our crowded roads is a breeze.
Tata Tiago EV - Bringing EVs To Everyone
We drove the Tata Tiago EV earlier this month and the all-electric version of Tata's smallest hatchback is one that surprises you with its zippiness and if you opt for the larger battery pack can offer a range of around 230 kilometres between trips to the plug point.
Skoda Slavia - The Return Of The Sedan
The sedan segment in India has been on the decline as people slowly but surely shift into SUVs. Skoda, though still believes in the sedan and its new Slavia combines good looks with punchy engines that encourage you to go for a drive. The Slavia is comfortable and spacious on the inside and it shows you just why the move towards SUVs isn't really that practical unless you live in the middle of nowhere.
Mahindra Scorpio-N - Bigger & Meaner Than Ever
The Mahindra Scorpio went up a segment getting more massive in the process of becoming the Scorpio-N. The new Mahindra Scorpio-N like the OG Scorpio is a game changer that looks set to dominate everyone on the road and even those driving off the beaten path.
Mercedes EQS - S Class Goes Electric
The Mercedes EQS shows us a look into the electric future of luxury cars. The EQS is a massive land yacht and features a futuristic interior that looks straight out of a Star Trek set. If you are the sort who likes to go everywhere in silent luxury, the Mercedes EQS is the limo for you.
Honourable Mentions
The Kia Carens changed the MPV game in India with its SUV looks and large interiors that offer oodles of space to those sitting inside. Add in a whole boatload of tech and comfy seats and the Carens is perhaps the best MPV we've driven all year.
A final mention to the new Hyundai Tucson. The new flagship ICE SUV from Hyundai is not at all discrete but as an overall package, it has quite a bit to shout about.
