Hyundai Creta 1st Anniversary Edition Launched in India
Hyundai has launched the '1st Anniversary Edition' of the Creta compact SUV in India. The petrol variant of the Creta '1st Anniversary Edition' is priced at Rs. 12.24 lakh while the diesel variant is priced at Rs. 13.76 lakh.
The first ever '1st Anniversary Edition' Creta was presented to ace Indian shuttler Saina Nehwal by Hyundai in July, to felicitate her on her victory at the Australian Open.
Mechanically the anniversary edition of the Creta remains the same as all the other Creta SUVs on the road. The 1.6-litre petrol engine still produces 122bhp and 154Nm of torque. The power and torque outputs for the 1.6-litre diesel remain the same as well at 126bhp and 256Nm of torque. Both engines are mated to a six-speed manual gearbox.
The major changes in the Anniversary Edition of the Creta come in the form of red and grey stripes that run across the sides of the SUV, just above the plastic cladding on the doors. The stripes are also present on the right side of the rear end where they extend from the Hyundai badge to the tail lamp. The stripes also make their way onto the blacked out C-Pillar of the SUV, where the words '1st Anniversary Edition' are seen on the Grey stripe.
The interiors of the anniversary edition are also different, with dual tone red and black seats and the AC vents surround trim also painted red.
