We don't need to tell you that UM's products seem like a perfect fit for India, where small displacement performance bikes rule the roost. And indeed, UM Global has confirmed that they will be making their India entry this year during the festive season.

UM Global is said to be considering launching four motorcycles in India, all of which will belong to its Renegade line. In the US these are offered with engines as small as 124cc, but they are likely to sport larger engines between the 200cc to 250cc range in India.

The company will assemble its products in India and it is looking to source at least half the components locally to keep pricing competitive, ET reports Rajeev Mishra, director of UM India Two Wheelers as having said.

UM India is also working towards setting up of a joint venture with an Indian partner which would help them with sales & services initially.
