Speaking to the media at the inauguration of the new DSK Hyosung dealership, Surfers Automotive, in Jayanagar, Bangalore, Shirish Kulkarni, chairman of DSK Hyosung revealed that the company would launch two new motorcycles by the end of this year.
These models will be the GD 250N and the GT250 Comet and they will be launched post October.

Hyosung GD 250N
This is a naked street sport with a sharp design that closely resembles KTM's Duke range. The GD 250N even features common design/functional elements such as the underslung exhaust. The motorcycle is build around a diamond-type tubular frame chassis, along with an alloy swingarm. In addition, suspension duty is handled by rear mono shock at the rear and and upside down front forks.

The GD 250N is powered by a 249cc, liquid cooled, single cylinder, fuel injected engine that develops 28 HP of power at 8500 rpm and a peak torque of 25 Nm at 7000 rpm. The engine is mated to 6 speed transmission, sports 17 inch wheels and 300mm & 230mm disc brakes at the front & rear respectively.

Hyosung GT250 Comet
If you remember, this is the Comet 250's second foray into India. That's right. About a decade back Kinetic brought this streetfighter styled naked bike to India as a CBU, but it failed to take off due to issues with parts availability.

The engine powering the Comet is a twin-cylinder 248 cc unit that develops 30 HP at 10,500 rpm and peak torque of 20 Nm at 7,300 rpm. The Comet 250 is a naked version of the Hyosung GT250R, but should be priced slightly lower than its faired cousin.
