Honda Activa Officially Crowned No. 1 Two Wheeler In India
It's official. Honda Activa has emerged as the numero uno in India in terms of number of units sold in the two-wheeler segment during the month of March. Honda Activa has beaten Hero MotoCorp's Splendor 100cc motorcycle sales to be become the most popular two wheeler model in the country. Of note is the fact that this is the second time Activa has achieved the feat during FY13-14.
Between March 2013 and March 2014, Honda Activa has witnessed a phenomenal growth of 65 percent with unit sales of 179,956, as against 108,815. The Activa led the 2nd place holder, the Splendor 100cc by a margin of nearly 13,000 units.

Speaking on this milestone, Mr. Yadvinder S. Launched in FY 2001-02, the Activa resurrected the then declining Indian scooter market, in the process helping Honda's two-wheeler sales jump by an unprecedented 515 percent to 3.41 lakh units in FY 2003-04.
More than a decade later Honda Activa's strong continues with over 10 million Indians riding the now future icon, the Activa.
