Ultraviolette recently unveiled its first electric scooter, the Tesseract, at the Fast Forward India event in Bengaluru. CEO Narayan Subramaniam expressed the company's ambition to "put a damn spacecraft on 2 wheels." That being said, here are top 5 things to know about the Ultraviolette Tesseract electric scooter.
Ultraviolette Tesseract: Pricing & Colours
The Ultraviolette Tesseract is available in 3 shades - Stealth Black, Sonic Pink, and Desert Sand. Initial pricing starts at Rs 1.2 lakh for the first 10,000 buyers, increasing to Rs 1.45 lakh thereafter. (All prices in Ex-showroom).

Initially available only in Bengaluru, Ultraviolette has expanded its presence to include showrooms (Space Stations) and test ride locations (Space Pods) across 13 cities. This expansion reflects the company's growth strategy as it aims to capture more of the Indian market.

The Tesseract stands out with its advanced features and design inspired by combat helicopters. It includes front and rear radar for spatial awareness, Blindspot Detection, Overtake Alert, and Collision Alert. The scooter also boasts premium ORVMs with Blindspot Assistance and an integrated dashcam with Violette AI.
Ultraviolette's Tesseract is also equipped with a handlebar featuring haptic feedback and a 7-inch TFT touchscreen that offers onboard navigation. Additionally, it has floating DRLs, dual LED projector headlights, and a wireless smartphone charger.

Safety features include proper dual-channel ABS, Traction Control, and Dynamic Stability Control. The Tesseract's motor delivers a peak power of 20.1bhp, allowing it to reach a top speed of 125 km/h. It can accelerate from 0 to 60 km/h in just 2.9 seconds. The IDC claims the scooter can cover up to 261km on a single charge. Ultraviolette promises an equivalence of 500km/l mileage as Rs 100 provides 12 units of electricity.
Ultraviolette Tesseract: Practicality & Hardware
The Ultraviolette Tesseract rides on 14-inch aero disc alloy wheels with 110-section front and 140-section rear tyres. This electric scooter is designed to be practical yet technologically advanced. It features a spacious under-seat storage of 34L that can fit a full-face helmet. Despite its high-tech offerings, it remains a step-through scooter for ease of use.
