TVS Ntorq 150 Could Be More Affordable Than Yamaha Aerox & Hero Xoom 160
TVS Motor Company has confirmed that the much-awaited Ntorq 150 will debut in India on September 4, marking the brand's first entry into the 150cc scooter category. Positioned above the existing TVS Ntorq 125, the new model is expected to blend sporty design, premium features, and a bigger punch.
Design
The recent teaser shared by TVS reveals a fresh LED headlamp setup, featuring four distinctive elements placed higher on the apron, which is very different to the Ntorq 125. This suggests a sharper, more aggressive design direction, reminiscent to the Yamaha Aerox.

Tech & Features
The TVS Ntorq 125 is known for its long feature list and we expect the upcoming TVS Ntorq 150 to get a more advanced features and dashboard. It is also worth mentioning that the current Ntorq 125 already offers SmartXonnect with Bluetooth connectivity, app integration, and navigation support.
As such, it is safe to expect the TVS Ntorq 150 to debut with upgraded instrumentation and additional features to match its premium positioning.
Engine Possibilities
TVS has not disclosed engine specifications for the Ntorq 150 yet, but expectations are high that the motor could be adapted from the Apache RTR 160 lineup. This raises two possibilities: A 159.7cc, two-valve, air-cooled engine producing around 16hp or a four-valve, oil-cooled engine with RAM air assist, delivering close to 17hp.
Rivals & Expected Price
If TVS chooses the liquid/oil-cooled route, the Ntorq 150 will go head-to-head with the performance-focused Yamaha Aerox 155 (14.7hp, Rs 1.51 lakh) and Hero Xoom 160 (14.4hp, Rs 1.49 lakh). However, if TVS opts for a simpler air-cooled unit, it opens the door for something the market hasn't seen yet - a much more affordable 150cc sporty scooter. This would allow TVS to price the Ntorq 150 well below Aerox and Xoom, attracting younger buyers who want performance styling without the premium price tag.
Currently, the Ntorq 125 starts at Rs 87,892, and TVS is expected to price the Ntorq 150 in the Rs 1.3-1.5 lakh bracket, depending on the engine configuration chosen.
DriveSpark Thinks
The TVS Ntorq 150 could be one of the most interesting scooter launches of 2025. If it takes the performance fight to Aerox and Xoom with a liquid/oil-cooled motor, it will appeal to enthusiasts. But if TVS bets on an air-cooled setup, it has the chance to severely undercut both rivals, creating India's first truly affordable 150cc sporty scooter.
