Triumph Speed T4 Launched In India At Rs 2.17 Lakh: Most Affordable Triumph

Triumph India has launched the new Triumph Speed T4 at Rs 2.17 lakh (ex-showroom). This aggressive pricing makes the Speed T4 the most affordable Triumph motorcycle available in the country.

Design and Features

The Speed T4 will be offered in three colours: white, red, and black. While the bike's aesthetics have been updated with new colour options, it retains many parts from the Speed 400. The chassis remains unchanged, but it now features conventional telescopic forks at the front instead of upside-down forks.

This model rides on 17-inch wheels fitted with either Apollo Alpha H1 tyres or MRF Steel Brace tyres, depending on the batch. The bike also includes an all-LED display and an analogue-digital display that offers Bluetooth connectivity and traction control.

Engine and Performance

The Speed T4 is powered by a 399cc, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine. This motor produces 30.6bhp at 7000rpm and 36Nm of torque at 5000rpm. According to Triumph, 85 per cent of the torque is available at just 2500rpm, ensuring good low-end performance. The engine is paired with a six-speed gearbox.

Availability and Bookings

Triumph has already begun accepting bookings for the Speed T4 on its official website. Deliveries are expected to commence in a few days, allowing enthusiasts to get their hands on this new model soon.

New Triumph Speed 400

Triumph has also launched the updated Speed 400 in India, priced at Rs 2.4 lakh (ex-showroom). This new model is approximately Rs 15,000 more than its predecessor.

Some of the noticeable updates on the new Speed 400 include fresh colours and a thicker foam seat for improved comfort during long rides. Updated shades include Racing Yellow, Phantom Black, Pearl Metallic White, and Racing Red.

New Speed 400 also boasts high-profile radial tyres from Vredestein and adjustable brake and clutch levers. Despite these updates, the bike retains its 399cc liquid-cooled engine, delivering 39.5bhp at 8,000rpm and a peak torque of 39Nm at 6,500rpm. This single-cylinder engine is paired with a six-speed gearbox.

DriveSpark Thinks

The introduction of the Speed T4 aims to attract more customers by offering a budget-friendly option without compromising on essential features and performance.
