Ather Energy launched the all-new Ather Rizta electric scooter in India. The newly launched model is positioned as a family-friendly electric scooter and here are the top 5 things you need to know about it.

Ather Rizta: Variants & Price

The new Ather Rizta electric scooter is available in three variants - Rizta S, Rizta Z, and Rizta Z (3.7kWh). The base-spec Ather Rizta S is priced at Rs 1.10 lakh (ex-showroom), whereas the Rizta Z variant is priced at Rs 1.25 lakh (ex-showroom).

Finally, the top-spec Ather Rizta Z (3.7kWh) model is priced at Rs 1.45 lakh (ex-showroom), which is approximately Rs 35,000 more expensive than the base-spec Ather Rizta S variant.

Ather Rizta: Platform & Storage

The Ather Rizta utilises a heavily modified version of the Ather 450 platform. However, the main change has been made to the rear frame which is an all-new unit that is lower and longer than the one in the 450 series of electric scooters.

Thanks to the bigger rear frame, the Ather Rizta not only sports the biggest seat in the scooter segment, but it also features a 34-litre underseat storage. Under the seat, the model also features a small pocket which is designed to keep smaller items such as keys and wallet.

Ather Rizta: Powertrain, Performance & Range

The Ather Rizta S and the Rizta Z variants come equipped with a 2.9kWh battery pack, and both models come with a certified range of 123km. Moreover, charging this battery pack up to 80 per cent takes 6 hours and 30 minutes.

On the other hand, the Ather Rizta Z (3.7kWh) model comes with a bigger 3.7kWh battery pack. As a result, the certified range stands at 160km. However, despite the bugger battery, this model can charge to 80 per cent capacity in just 4 hours and 30 minutes.

In terms of performance, the new Ather Rizta electric scooter has a top speed of 80km/h, which is decent for an electric scooter that is positioned as a family-friendly model.

Ather Rizta: Features

The Rizta S comes equipped with a 7-inch segmented display along with other features such as LED lighting and turn-by-turn navigation. However, it misses out on features such as Magic Twist, Skid Control, Document Storage, Live Location Sharing, and Whatsapp preview even with Pro Pack worth Rs 13,000.

On the other hand, both variants of the Rizta Z come with all the above-listed features along with other features such as Document Storage, Trip Planner, SmartEco mode, Bluetooth call & music control, Auto Hold, Fall Safe, Auto Indicator Cut-off, ESS, Google Maps, Real-time charging status, Alexa and much more.

Ather Rizta: Warranty & Accessories

All variants of Ather Rizta come with 3 year/30,000km scooter and battery warranty. Customers can also boost their battery warranty to 5 year/60,000km with Ather Battery Protect.

Ather has also designed very useful accessories for the Ather Rizta electric scooter such as the 22-litre flexible frunk storage, wireless charger capable of charging Halo smart helmet, and an underseat organiser that doubles up as a carry bag.
