Commuting To Become A Lot More Affordable With Bajaj's Upcoming CNG Bike: All Details Here
Bajaj is set to introduce India's first CNG-powered bike, while a Tamil Nadu-based company has received approval to fit LPG kits in two-wheelers. With petrol prices exceeding Rs 100 per litre, many consumers are seeking alternatives. Electric scooters have become a popular choice, but Bajaj aims to offer an affordable CNG bike soon.
Also, Bajaj is expected to launch its upcoming CNG bike on July 5. This will make Bajaj's upcoming CNG bike the country's first mass-produced motorcycle to be powered by CNG.

Looking at the various spy shots of the Bajaj's upcoming motorcycle, it seems to be the automaker is testing two different variations of the CNG bike. We also expect Bajaj to launch multiple models with CNG-compatible powertrains in 2025.
That being said, Bajaj's upcoming CNG bike can also be run on petrol like a conventional motorcycle, giving plenty of flexibility to its user. This makes good sense considering petrol pumps vastly outnumber CNG filling stations in India.
It is also worth mentioning that the petrol tank on the Bajaj's upcoming CNG bike is positioned quite conventionally, while the CNG tank seems to be enclosed within the structure of the bike.
Speaking about the powertrain, we expect Bajaj to utilise a 125cc powertrain for its upcoming CNG bike to ensure decent performance even while running using CNG fuel. On top of that expect this upcoming model to use a 5-speed gearbox as well.
That being said, with its CNG-compatible powertrain, Bajaj's upcoming CNG bike is expected to have a huge advantage when it comes to fuel efficiency and running costs. We also expect this upcoming CNG bike from Bajaj to be the country's most fuel-efficient motorcycle at the time of its launch.
In terms of pricing, we expect Bajaj's upcoming CNG motorcycle to bear an ex-showroom price between Rs 1 lakh and Rs 1.25 lakh, but given Bajaj's reputation to price their bikes aggressively, we wouldn't surprised to see prices dipping below the Rs 1 lakh mark.
