Ola Electric Announces Attractive Financial Schemes & Service Option - All You Need To Know
Ola Electric has announced attractive EMI schemes and details regarding the service of its electric scooter. Along with it, the Indian company has released the details regarding the purchase window.
The Ola electric scooter range starts from Rs 99,000 (Including state and FAME subsidy) for the S1 variant and the S1 Pro variant starts from Rs 1,29,000 (Including state and FAME subsidy).
However, these prices will be much lower if you are living in Delhi, Gujarat, Maharashtra, Rajasthan, or Orissa, as these states have significantly higher subsidy rates. Among these states, Gujarat has the highest state subsidy and the S1 variant of the Ola electric scooter costs just Rs 79,999, whereas the S1 Pro variant costs just Rs 10,000 more than the S1 variant in other states.

If this is not enough, HDFC Bank will even provide pre-approved loans for eligible customers in minutes via the Ola and Ola Electric apps.
If in case, the customer fails to pay the full amount or process the loan before the given payment date, the allotted Ola electric scooter will be reallocated to another customer. However, the customer can complete the payment later, and the company will provide the customer new delivery date.
As per Ola Electric, its electric scooter can be purchased via a digital purchase window on the Ola and Ola Electric apps, and it is scheduled to be operational from September 8th, 2021. This purchase window will give access to people who have already pre-booked the Ola electric scooter and the people who like to reserve their Ola electric scooter.
For the customers who have already pre-booked the Ola electric scooter, they can complete the purchase by paying the remaining amount after finalising the colour and variant.
According to Ola Electric, the deliveries of its electric scooter will commence by October and will follow direct-to-home delivery route. Unlike other vehicle purchases, the purchase of the Ola electric scooter is completely virtual including the financial assistance services.
Ahead of launch, Ola Electric opened the reservations for their electric scooters and received an overwhelming response from the public with over 1 lakh bookings within the first 24 hours.
The pre-booking amount for the Ola electric scooter was kept at just Rs 499, which is one of the reasons for receiving such a tremendous response from the public.
Coming back to Ola electric scooter, it was revealed at the launch that the new electric scooter from Ola Electric will be available in 10 different shades, and two variants; S1 and S1 Pro.
Under the skin, both S1 and S1 Pro utilise the same 8.5kW electric motor. However, the S1 Pro uses a larger 3.97kWh battery pack as opposed to the S1 which uses a smaller 2.98kWh battery pack.
This larger battery pack gives the S1 Pro higher claimed range of 181kms on a full charge, whereas the S1 could manage 121kms under similar conditions (which is still more than its nearest competitors).
Despite the identical electric motor on S1 and S1 Pro, the S1 Pro is significantly quicker and faster than the S1, as it can reach a 40kmph in just 3 seconds and onto a top speed of 115kmph, whereas the S1 could only manage 90kmph top speed while reaching 40kmph in 3.6 seconds.
Ola Electric claims that its electric scooters are 'AI-driven', and hence it is not susceptible to any type of traditional services that require periodic maintenance. According to the company, its electric scooter itself will diagnose and let the user know if it requires any service or part replacement.
Adding to the convenience is Ola Electric's doorstep service that can be booked via the Ola Electric App.
