2021 Ducati XDiavel India Launch Teased: Expected Price, Specs, Features, Variants & Other Details

Ducati is gearing up to launch another motorcycle in India. The company has teased the XDiavel on its social media channels, which will go on sale sometime this month. The XDiavel is globally available in three variants: 'Dark', 'S', 'Black Star'.

The company is yet to announce if all three variants will be brought to India. The Dark and the Black Star varaints were added to the XDiavel's line-up with the last update of the motorcycle.

        The new XDiavel is based on the 2021 Diavel motorcycle that is currently on sale in the country. However, there are a host of changes including the use of Carbon Fibre on several body parts and new graphics. This gives the performance cruiser an appealing look.

        • The XDiavel Dark Star variant also features a high-grip suede fabric that enhances the sportiness of the brand.

          Features & Technology

          Ducati is XDiavel features the same 3.5-inch TFT display. However, the S and the Black Star varaints features a Bluetooth enabled console for connected features offered by the company. The Dark Start further features the brand's Ducati Multimedia System (DMS).

          The XDiavel also features a host of electronic rider aids that includes three ride modes: Sport, Touring, Urban. The motorcycle also features IMU-based Cornering ABS from Bosch, (DTC) Ducati Traction Control, cruise control, and (DPL) Ducati Power Launch (DPL).

          Suspension, Brakes, Wheels & Tyres

          The Dark and the Black Star varaint tips the sale at 247Kg kerb, while the S variant is 2Kg more than both variants. The S and the Black Star features a lot more equipment than the base-spec model.

          However, the top-spec Black Star model's remains the same as the Dark variant. This is because the Black Star model features lighter forged and anodized side frame plates and alloy wheels.

          • Rear: Monoshock
          • Both units are fully adjustable for preload and rebound damping. While the Dark and Black Star varaints feature DLC coating on the suspension to reduce friction, wear, fretting, galling and corrosion.

            • Rear: 265mm disc, Brembo two-piston floating calliper

                  • Expected Price

                    The standard Diavel 1260 is priced starting at Rs 18.49 lakh, ex-showroom (India). As a result, the XDiavel variants will be priced much higher at around Rs 21 lakh, ex-showroom (India). The Black Star varaint if launched could cost around Rs 24 lakh, ex-showroom.

                    Ducati seems to be on a roll with the motorcycle launches in India. After the successful launch of the brand's flagship ADV-tourer, the Multistrada V4, the company is now looking to introduce the XDiavel, the brand's flagship power cruiser motorcycle.
