Chennai based motorcycle manufacturer, RE will launch the Classic 350 BS6 model on 7 January. Units of the upgraded Royal Enfield Classic 350 BS6  have already begun reaching dealerships across the country.

Outside of the new fuel-injection system and other minor upgrades towards BS6 compliance, the new Classic 350 will be available in newer paint schemes and decals. Alloy wheels are said to be offered as standard, however the Chrome and the Signals editions of the 350 will continue to feature spoked wheels.

The Premium plan offers the above, and unlimited replacements for the brake pads, accelerator cables and clutch cables for a period of four years or 50,000 kilometers, whichever comes first (provided they have been worn out because of regular usage.

The company also states that major parts covered under the Ride Sure plan include the engine cylinder head, the fuel tank, the push-rod kit, the engine block assembly, the carburettor, all sensors, the transmission, the magneto cover, the sub-frame, the piston and the connecting rod assembly.

It also includes the sprag clutch, the fuel pipe, the frame assembly, the throttle body, the cam plate, the starter motor, the rear shocker, the hydraulic tappet, all engine bearings, the ECUs, the engine flasher unit, and the RH cover.

The Ride Sure plans also covers the chain stay, the fuel injector, the valve & valve mechanisms, the front fork assembly, the front & rear brake calipers, the crankcase, the engine fasteners, the oil cooler, the oil pump, the headlamp casing, and the fuel pump.

According to the terms and conditions on the company's website, accidental and externally damaged parts are not covered under the Ride Sure plans. Scheduled maintenance parts such as oil, the oil filter, the air filter, packaging materials, and consumables are not covered, unless specifically mentioned.

Unfortunately Royal Enfield will not have its new range of motorcycles ready before the 1 April 2020 deadline, and they are beginning to offer current-generation motorcycles with upgraded engines in order to keeps sales on the higher side. We expect the company to upgrade their entire portfolio shortly.
