KTM 250 Duke To Recieve New Headlight Update: Here Are All Details
KTM India will be pushing a new update to its 250 Duke naked motorcycle soon in the market. The motorcycle will now feature a new LED headlamp unit that is borrowed from its elder sibling the 390 Duke.

According to a recent report from carandbike, the company has already begun manufacturing the 250 Duke with new headlight assembly. The updated motorcycles are ready to reach dealerships across the country.

With the new update, the 250 Duke is expected to undergo a slight increase in its pricing. The motorcycle is currently priced at Rs 2.06 lakh. However, the report also reveals that the priced could go up by Rs 4,000 and cost Rs 2.10 lakh after the update. All prices mentioned are ex-showroom (Delhi).

Apart from the new headlight, all other features on the 250cc naked-street motorcycle will remain unchanged. Dealers have started to accept bookings for the updated motorcycle for a token amount of Rs 5,000.

There are some differences between the 250 Duke and the 390 Duke. The later gets a TFT digital display with smartphone connectivity, riding modes, updated rider aid electronics package and different colour-scheme options.

The 250 Duke continues to feature a digital display that was first featured on the KTM 20 Duke. It is powered by a liquid-cooled, single-cylinder 248.8cc engine that produces a maximum of 29.6bhp at 9000rpm and a peak torque of 24Nm at 7500rpm. It comes mated to a six-speed gearbox with a slip-assist clutch.

Suspension on the motorcycle is handled by 43mm USD forks at the front and a mono-shock setup at the rear, both of which are sourced from WP. Braking is done via a 300mm disc at the front and a 230mm unit at the rear. The safety on the motorcycle is further enhanced by featuring a dual-channel ABS as standard.

The KTM Duke 250 rivals the Suzuki Gixxer 250, the Yamaha FZ-25, the Bajaj Dominar 250, the Husqvarna 250 twins and the upcoming Mahindra Mojo BS6 in the Indian market. The 250 Duke is one among the most powerful motorcycle in the segment.

In related news, KTM has launched a new reward programme for new customers booking any of the motorcycles in its line-up. This includes free extended warranty period, (RSA) Road-Side Assistance and more — here are more details.

Thoughts About The KTM 250 Duke Receiving New Headlight Update
The KTM Duke 250 is already a motorcycle that offers best-in-class performance and electronic rider aids. With the inclusion of a new LED headlamp unit sourced from the 390 Duke, the features list will get a massive update on the motorcycle. The 250 Duke becomes more appealing and safer to the buyers in the segment.
