The iQube might have lost out in terms of July sales, however, according to Gaadiwaadi, the TVS electric scooter did manage to register 50 units between April - June 2020 period. During the same time period, the Bajaj Chetak electric registered 0 units of sales.

The sales of both electric scooters have been drastically affected due to the COVID-19 pandemic, which put the entire country under lockdown for close to two months, between March and May 2020.

The Bajaj Chetak electric scooter is offered with a price tag starting at Rs 1 lakh, ex-showroom (Bangalore). The scooter is a premium electric two-wheeler offering, powered by a 4.08kW electric motor and a 3kWh lithium-ion battery pack, which together offer a maximum range of 90km on a single charge.

Comparatively, the TVS iQube electric scooter is powered by a 4.4kW hub-mounted electric motor mated to a 2.25kWh lithium-ion battery pack. The electric scooter claims to offer a maximum range of 75km on a single charge and has a top speed of 80km/h.

Both electric scooters though come with a host of premium features, equipment and connected technology as well. The two e-scooter also feature a stylish design, attracting very different target audiences as well.
