Yamaha Discounts & Benefits: Low Interest Rate & Other Offers Available Across Models
Yamaha India, is offering attractive discounts and benefits on their select models. The discount offers have been announced for Yamaha FZ-S FI and FZ FI 150cc motorcycles and entire scooter range from the company.
The FZ-S FI and FZ FI are available with a discount of up to Rs 8,280 and Rs 8,000 on the entire scooter range. Customers opting for a two-wheeler loan are offered with a lesser rate of interest of just 6.9 per cent with a down payment of Rs 4,999, as part of the festival offer scheme.
Yamaha's scooter range is also available with an interest rate of just 6.9 per cent and down payments starting from Rs 3,999 on the two-wheeler loans. The industry standards for the rate of interest on two-wheeler loans range between 10 to 12 per cent in the market.
The Discounts and benefits will help the company sell the existing BS-IV compliant motorcycles, before Yamaha introduces its BS-VI compliant motorcycles from November 2019 onwards. Yamaha plans to update its scooter range to BS-VI compliant models from January 2020.
Motofumi Shitara, Chairman, Yamaha Motor India Group of Companies, had earlier confirmed that the BS-VI models will see a price increase by around 10 to 15 per cent. However, the company is offering an opportunity for its customers to purchase their products with attractive discounts before the BS-VI models arrive.
The FZ-S FI and the FZ FI features a 149cc air-cooled fuel-injected engine which produces 13bhp of power and 12.8Nm of torque. The engine comes mated to a 5-speed gearbox. Other features include an LED headlight, LCD instrument cluster, and a single channel ABS (Anti-Lock Brake System).
In other news, Yamaha's latest offering to the Indian market, the MT-15 has achieved a new milestone crossing 15,000 units sold in the first six months of its launch. The motorcycle was received well in the Indian market, however, with the slowdown in the auto industry, sales of the Yamaha MT-15 has also declined in the past couple of months.
The Yamaha MT-15 features a 155cc single-cylinder liquid-cooled engine producing 9.1bhp of power and 14.7Nm of torque. The engine comes mated to a six-speed gearbox with slipper-assist clutch, making for smoother downshifts.
