Revolt RV300 & RV400 Electric Motorcycles Bookings Closed Till October 2019 Due To High Demand
Revolt Motors has closed bookings for the RV300 and RV400 for the months of September and October. Revolt announced on their social media channels that bookings for the September-October batch have been closed while bookings for November-December are still open.
According to the brand, the RV series of electric motorcycles has received overwhelming response from buyers In Delhi and Pune and is therefore sold-out. The company made the announcement on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram and also thanked buyers and enthusiasts for the support.
Revolt Motors is an Indian electric vehicle manufacturer with a vision of democratising clean commute using next-gen mobility solutions. Well, Revolt certainly seems to have done just that with the RV300 and RV400.
Electric vehicles are the way ahead and there will come a time when all motorists will use electric vehicles for their commute. However, this is a far-fetched dream for now thanks to the high-prices and substandard performance of electric vehicles.
Affordable electric vehicles have poor performance and range figures, thereby making them unusable on a daily basis. The electric vehicles with decent performance and range are expensive to buy and hence, people still prefer sticking to fossil fuel-powered vehicles.
This is exactly where Revolt seems to have made the difference and has therefore received overwhelming response from the buyers. Revolt Motors launched the RV300 and RV400 electric motorcycles in India on 28 August 2019.
The motorcycles are designed to look attractive to the younger audiences. It comes loaded with features. It is equipped with an LED headlamp, LED indicators and LED tail-lamp. Instrumentation duties are handled by a digital display with indications of the battery level, speed, distance covered, etc.
The motorcycles also boast of riding modes that change the performance and efficiency of the vehicle. In Eco mode, the top speed drops to 25km/h in the RV300 and 45km/h in the RV400 while the range increases to 180 kilometres and 150 kilometres respectively.
In sports mode though, the top speed increases to 65km/h in the RV300 and 85km/h in the RV400. Braking duties are handled by disk brakes on both ends while suspension duties are handled by an upside-down fork up front and a monoshock at the rear.
The Revolt motorcycles come with switchable sounds via a speaker that can be controlled via Revolt's smartphone app. The motorcycles are connected, which the bike receives firmware updates via the internet. It also comes with the geo-fencing feature.
However, the shocker comes in the form of pricing. Revolt has come up with a unique pricing strategy. Buyers have to pay just Rs 2,999 for the RV300, Rs 3,499 for the standard RV400 and Rs 3,999 for the premium RV400 for a period of 37 months.
This adds up to Rs 1,10,963 for the RV300, Rs 1,29,463 for the standard RV400 and Rs 1,47,963 for the premium RV400. These prices are affordable when one keeps in mind that the motorcycles come with an 8-year warranty on the battery, a 5-year warranty on the motorcycle itself and a 3-year maintenance package.
The maintenance package includes consumables and periodic services, and even a set of replacement tyres when the first set wears out. With features like this and a zero maintenance ownership, Revolt Motors wowed buyers and has therefore received overwhelming response.
Revolt is currently selling only in Delhi and Pune and the motorcycles are sold out in both cities till the end of October. The company is planning to expand to other cities very soon.

Thoughts On Revolt Closing Bookings For The RV300 & RV400 Temporarily
Revolt has been able to reach out to the younger generation with the RV300 & RV400. The bikes are loaded with features and they look stylish too. Adding to this is the unique pricing strategy that has enabled almost anyone to buy a Revolt motorcycle.
It is no surprise that the first two months are already sold-out. At this pace, we wouldn't really be surprised if even the November-December batch sells-out.
