Dakar 2019 Results (Stage 10) — Aravind KP Becomes The Second Indian To Finish Dakar Rally
Dakar 2019 Results: Stage 10 (Pisco - Lima) results out. Distance: 247km liaison + 112km special. Here are the highlights of Dakar 2019 final stage.
Dakar Rally 2019 has concluded with its 10th stage ending back in Lima. Aravind KP from Sherco TVS Racing has become the second Indian to finish 'The Toughest Rally In The World'; following CS Santosh (Hero MotoSports). It is a pround moment for Indian motorsport enthusiasts as both teams representing the country made their presence felt at Dakar.
In fact, Michael Metge from Sherco TVS Racing came first in the previous stage - check out the highlights from Dakar 2019 - Stage 9.
The final stage of Dakar 2019 started from Pisco and ended in Lima; making a good loop around South America. Stage 10 saw contestants battling it out for a total distance of 359km (247km liaison; 112km special).
Finally, Toby Price from Red Bull KTM Rally became the winner of Dakar 2019.

Coming to the Indian teams, Hero MotoSports secured its second Top 10 Dakar finish. Hero riders, Joaquim Rodrigues and Oriol Mena, finished Stage 10 in 12th and 17th positions, respectively. This placed Mena at 9th and Rodrigues at 17th positions in the overall chart.
Stage 10 saw Sherco TVS Racing riders (and brothers), Adrien Metge and Michael Metge, crossing the line in 13th and 75th positions, respectively. Aravind KP came 42nd.
In the overall rankings, Adrien Metge came 22nd while it was 25th for Michael. Aravind KP finished 37th and became the second Indian to finish the rally, as mentioned before.
Thoughts On The Final Results Of Dakar 2019
As always, the 2019 edition of Dakar gave contestants an experience worth a lifetime, regardless of the category in which they participated. While Aravind KP made India proud, the top three riders showcased an impressive performance throughout the rally; making Red Bull KTM, a benchmark in the Moto category.
