Triumph Bonneville Speedmaster India Launch Date Revealed — Specs, Features & Expected Price
Triumph Bonneville Speedmaster India Launch Date Revealed: Triumph Motorcycles has revealed that it will launch the new Bonneville Speedmaster in India on February 27, 2018.
British motorcycle manufacturer Triumph Motorcycles revealed the new Bonneville Speedmaster in the country at the India Bike Week 2017. Now, the company has announced that the Bonneville Speedmaster will be launched in India on February 27, 2018. The Speedmaster will be the latest offering from Triumph in the Modern Classic lineup.

The new Triumph Bonneville Speedmaster is based on the Bobber variant of the motorcycle with similar dimensions but with higher-spec components. The front profile of the new Bonneville Speedmaster sports a classic round headlamp with traditional-style nacelle which gels well with Bobber design.

The Bonneville Speedmaster also gets a lot of chrome treatment which adds to the classic look of the motorcycle. As opposed to the Bobber black, the motorcycle gets chrome and polished aluminium with white accents on the seat. The dual-tone paint scheme also renders a retro-look to the elegantly designed Bonneville Speedmaster.

The new Triumph Bonneville Speedmaster draws power from the existing 1200cc 270-degree-crank, liquid-cooled parallel twin engine churning out 76bhp @ 6,100rpm and 106Nm of torque @ 4,000rpm. The same engine does the duty on the T120 and the Bonneville Bobber.

Talking about the difference between the Bonneville Bobber and the Speedmaster, the latter gets new 16-inch wire spoked wheels shod with specially developed Avon Cobra tyres, two-step seat and bigger 12-litre fuel tank. The machined engine cooling fins, carburettor style throttle bodies, rubber fork gaiters and bronze badges add to the retro charm of the motorcycle.

The new Triumph Bonneville Speedmaster is equipped with minimalistic electronic aids and features two riding modes, ABS, cruise control and switchable traction control. Braking duties are handled by 310mm dual-discs with dual-piston Brembo callipers. The motorcycle gets a 12-litre fuel tank, and the dry weight stands at 245.5kg.

The new Triumph Bonneville Speedmaster is a perfect amalgamation of classic retro style and Bobber design. The modern-classic approach has worked well for the British company, and the new Bonneville Speedmaster is expected to replicate the same success. We expect the Bonneville Speedmaster to carry a price tag of around Rs 10 lakh ex-showroom.
