The Royal Enfield Thunderbird 350X & 500X were launched in February 2018, at a price of Rs 1.56 and 1.98 lakh, respectively. The 350X & 500X uses the same powerplant as the regular Royal Enfield Thunderbird. Launched with only cosmetic updates, Royal Enfield claims that the new Thunderbird models are aimed at young riders. The motorcycles also feature a new handlebar design, unlike the regular Thunderbird. The Royal Enfield Thunderbird X models get a 'Gunslinger' seat too.
The Royal Enfield Thunderbird 350X is powered by a 346cc single-cylinder engine, with 19bhp and 28Nm of torque. Meanwhile, the 500X has a 499cc single-cylinder unit. The Thunderbird 500X produces 27bhp and 41.3Nm of torque. Both have a 5-speed gearbox.
