Royal Enfield Thunderbird X Design & Features
The overall design of the Royal Enfield Thunderbird 350X and 500X remains identical to the standard Thunderbird except for some unique design elements. Up front, the new Thunderbird X range gets the same round headlamp with projector light and LED DRL, but now gets a matte black housing.
The fuel tank design also remains the same but now features vibrant colour options. The Thunderbird X also features a new Gunslinger single seat setup as opposed to the split seat seen on the standard Thunderbird. Another prominent highlight of the Thunder X is the alloy wheels and the rim stickers add to the looks of the motorcycle. The Thunderbird X also gets a LED tail light and new grab-rail.
The Royal Thunderbird 350X and 500X will be available in four colour options: Drifter Blue, Getaway Orange, Roving Red and Whimsical White. The front mudguard, side panels, rear fender, front forks, suspension, exhaust and the engine is finished in black colour.
The Royal Enfield Thunderbird 350X and 500X are equipped with telescopic forks up front and twin shock absorbers at the rear. Braking duties are handled by discs at both the ends. The Thunderbird X gets the same analogue-digital instrument cluster. The motorcycle also gets a new shorter handlebar which is forward-biased.
The new Royal Enfield Thunderbird X range gets 9-spoke alloy wheels shod with MRF Nylogrip Zapper tubeless tyres, a first time for Royal Enfield.
DriveSpark's Thoughts On The Royal Enfield Thunderbird 350X And 500X
The newly launched Royal Enfield Thunderbird 350X and 500X injects a fresh design philosophy to the rather retro-looking motorcycle lineup. The Thunderbird X series comes with several new features which will attract the young buyers in the country. Both the Thunderbird 350X and 500X are dearer by Rs 8,000 as compared to the standard Thunderbird. With new design elements and features, it is worth the money.
